society and culture

It already has happened here

I’ve just finished one of the most remarkable fiction reading experiences I’ve had in quite some time: It Can’t Happen Here, by Sinclair Lewis. ICHH is a satirical novel written and set in 1935 America.

Why not Zoidberg?

Something fun for Friday? My older son binge-watched Futurama on Netflix a few months ago. This was one of the funniest shows of at least recent TV history. Especially if you like nerdy, cultural-reference, rapid-fire style humor like a real Gen-Xer.
